Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program

The Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA ) generally provides free tax help to people who make $51,000 or less and need assistance in preparing their tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers prepare simple income tax returns for qualified individuals and can advise taxpayers on special tax credits for which they may qualify, including

Link & Learn Taxes is a web-based program providing nine certification courses for volunteers and a refresher course for returning volunteers. This training prepares Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) partners and volunteers to provide quality tax return preparation services for local communities.

This fun, interactive course teaches you to accurately prepare income tax returns for individuals. Users can obtain volunteers certification along the way at their own pace!
